Austin, TX, August 7, 2013 – Periscope Holdings, Inc. is taking the public procurement industry by storm. The Austin-based company conquered several large corporations during its streak of success in winning contracts with multiple state governments to implement BuySpeed, its web-based, source-to-pay software suite. Periscope is proud of its recent victories and is excited to have the opportunity to continue carrying its purpose nationwide and helping public sector entities build more efficient procurement processes.
The State of Michigan awarded a contract to Periscope to drive savings across the state by enhancing transparency and establishing cooperative purchasing. Phase One of the Buy4Michigan implementation was successfully launched on May 29. Periscope signed a contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in May to increase the effectiveness of its procurement operations. Design and development stages of the first phase of the project are currently underway. In June, Periscope signed a contract with the State of New Jersey and has begun a project with the state to implement the top-rated BuySpeed solution.
All of these states went through exhaustive formal solicitation and evaluation processes. Periscope is thrilled that these states selected Periscope and joined BuySpeed clients, like the states of Arizona and Maryland, to improve the way they do business and streamline their processes to increase visibility, boost productivity, and significantly reduce costs. “Procurement transformation is not just about standing up an online catalog with an Amazon-like shopping experience,” said Brian Utley, Periscope’s President and CEO. “It’s about driving all spend, agencies and locals, commodities and services, through one system and helping our state clients eradicate waste and maximize the value of every dollar spent. That is our purpose, our singular focus.”
“We participated in highly competitive, formal RFP and RFR processes for each of these contracts. We competed with some of the largest integrators and software companies in the world, and I could not be prouder of the Periscope team for the hard work and dedication put forth to make these wins happen,” Utley added. “Periscope is a great company, and we look forward to driving value for customers with our purpose-driven approach for many years to come.”
