Educational Session – Procurement Performance Transformation – An Organizational Progression Assessment

Where does your public procurement organization fall on the transformation progression spectrum?  As public procurement continues to evolve, so do public procurement organizations. This session explores the transformation progression of procurement organizations with the identification of practical procurement practices.  Additionally, each attendee has the opportunity to perform a self-assessment of their own organization to provide tactical and actionable actions for increased performance and transformation.

Conversations that Connect - NIGP Commodity/Services Code (NIGP Code)

Have you wondered how other organizations are using the NIGP Commodity/Services Code for enhanced procurement services?  Has your organization maximized the use of the NIGP Code in your procurement operations?  This session provides an open dialog with current NIGP Code users and potential users can gain information and ideas from fellow NIGP Code users.  Periscope Holdings, Inc., custodian of the NIGP Code on behalf of NIGP serves as the facilitators for this information sharing and idea generating session.

Business Council Meeting

The mission of the Business Council is to… Serve the NIGP membership and procurement profession through the sharing of resources and expertise in support of NIGP’s educational, research and advocacy mission. In essence, the Business Council connects the supplier’s perspective with the public procurement community and is dedicated to improving the buyer/supplier relationship.

NIGP Commodity/Services Code Update Committee Meeting

This meeting will provide an opportunity for participants of the NIGP Code Update Committee to hear a report on the status of the project, next steps and the impact their involvement has provided in the continuous advancement of the NIGP Code.

Expo Education Session -Strategic Procurement Improvement Strategies

Implementing improvements and “purpose-based” procurement in any organization requires understanding of the current procurement environment and the value of transformation.  This discussion will explore “tips of the trade” for various improvement strategies including; communications with IT and Finance, development of a return on investment and business case – exploration of the practical tools and metrics that can be used to communicate procurement’s value.
